What's so special about your biomarker analysis?
The app is built in parternship with Michael Lustgarten, Ph.D., who has heavily researched how biomarkers of major organ systems (kidney, liver, immune, metabolic health, etc) change during aging, and how they are related to risk of death for all causes. Based on these data, he has identified biomarker “optimal ranges” that are more likely to be found in youth and health, which collectively may impact longevity.
This approach is in contrast with reference ranges that are used by commercial labs, which are population-based averages that say nothing about whether a given biomarker should be relatively high or low within the range.
With the goal of optimal health and potentially, longevity, the net score analysis is central to Michael Lustgarten's data-driven approach.
What's this net score/correlation analysis all about?
By tracking your diet and lifestyle, you can get an “average intake” for each blood test. Then, with enough tests (>2), you can correlate foods, macro and micronutrients, and lifestyle practices with blood test results. By following top correlations and net correlative scores after each test, biomarkers may improve by discovering the recipe that may underlie their levels. If they don’t immediately improve, by collecting more data over time, the signal separates from the noise, thereby helping you discover your personalized recipe for health, and potentially, longevity.
What measures are in place to ensure the security of my data?
Data security is a top priority for us. Blood test data never leaves your device, so we are HIPAA compliant via the safe harbour method. Nutritional, wearable, and custom data is stored in our servers so that it syncs easily across your devices, and so that we can analyze it continuously.
Is there a mobile app available for the platform?
A mobile companion app is coming soon, where you will be able to manage your data on the go. For example, if you sync your body weight to Apple Health, it will automagically sync to our servers and be available for analysis.
